Autumn Fashion Looks

So it’s well and truly autumn now, wouldn’t you say? The leaves are changing colour and dropping off the trees (most of them onto my car it seems), there’s a chill in the air, and a large number of interestingly-named weather phenomena are hitting the country and leaving us all a little wind-swept.

For me autumn always leaves me wanting to wear deep colours – reds, greens, browns – and this season reds are all the rage, so I’ve been channelling this into my wardrobe for some lovely autumnal looks

I bought the t-shirt from the New Look stall at the Curve Fashion Festival. I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest fan of lace (I find it usually find it too fussy), but I really liked how it lifted an otherwise plain top without being too much. My only gripe is that it does crease easily, but it’s not as noticeable in real life as it is in photos. The jeggings are my usual style from Simply Be, and I was thrilled when I saw that they’d brought out some new colours, so of course I had to buy the dark claret (I’ve previously only seen them in various denim shades, and I’ve since also bought the dark green option too), whilst my boots are from Evans, and they’re so comfy that I’m not sure if I’ll be wearing anything else this winter!

This look flips the colours of the last look over. The top is another of my Curve Fashion Festival purchases, this time from Missguided. Technically it’s listed as a dress, but as I like my tops long and my dresses longer I’ve decided to style it more like a tunic over jeggings. The top is rather sheer, so I have put a cami top underneath, and I can’t have it zipped all the way up at the back, otherwise the choker really does try and choke me, but it sits fine with the zip lowered just a touch. I think that this would make for a really nice casual going-out outfit, with a change of shoes, as well as for a walk in the woods.
